Biography

Omagbitse (Gbitse) Augustine Barrow is an Organizational Development Consultant, Corporate Trainer and Corporate Strategy Consultant. He is also a Techpreneur, Educator, Financial Literacy and Political Literacy advocate. He attended the prestigious Kings College Lagos, Nigeria and obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Lagos, graduating as the 2nd Best Student in 1999. He qualified as the Best Candidate in the November 2000 examinations of ICAN and received the Akintola Williams Prize as the best overall qualifying accountant in the millennium year 2000.

He started his career after the mandatory one year of National Service at the Central Bank of Nigeria working at Investment banking & Trust Company (IBTC), a leading investment bank in Nigeria. While at IBTC, Omagbitse gained valuable experience in Capital Raising, Mergers & Acquisitions, Privatization Advisory, Asset Management, Pension Fund Administration and Business Development. He was appointed the Head of Human Resources & Learning at IBTC Pension Managers in 2007, and as Head – Human Resources Business Partners at Stanbic IBTC Group in 2009. He is credited with establishing the IBTC Pensions Academy, publishing IBTC Pension Notes (the Company’s monthly customer newsletter) and participating actively in the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard and other transformational change efforts in Stanbic IBTC.

In 2010, Omagbitse founded Learning Impact NG and became the exclusive license partner in Nigeria for John C Maxwell leadership Development Programs. Learning Impact NG has since grown to become a leading provider of indigenous leadership and corporate training programs as well as Organizational Development, Corporate Strategy and People Tech solutions to leading institutions in Nigeria.

Gbitse is an Association for talent Development trained Learning Designer, Workplace Coach and mobile Learning Developer. He is a Prosci Institute certified Change Management Professional and a Palladium Trained Balanced Score Card Professional. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel management of Nigeria, Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development, member of the Human Resources Management Association of Trinidad & Tobago and a member of the Faculty at Lux Terra Leadership Foundation. He attended the Executive Education Program in Data Analytics at Cambridge University’s Judge Business School and serves on the National Financial Literacy Committee of Nigeria’s Securities & Exchange Commission.

Mr Barrow is a regular commentator on national and civic affairs and was a candidate in the 2019 House of Representatives election in Nigeria. He is also a Director of Creative Learning International School and Thoughtful House Autism Center, in Abuja, Nigeria.

Gbitse is the fourth of five children of Robert & Monica Barrow. He is happily married to Oluwakemi (Kemi) and they have two daughters – Omasan and Weyimi.
